Shirabe combines a Japanese dictionary with spaced repetition. Think a dictionary crossed with Anki on steroids.

After searching for a word, you can request a notification. You will then receive a notification to remind you of the word (both Japanese and English meanings) periodically. By default, in a few hours, the next day, and then again a few days later.

Unlike other flashcard apps, where you need make lists and set aside to study them, Shirabe gives you a simple notification, so you can remember new vocabulary without breaking your normal routine.
